Sports Unlimited has boxes at each entrance of the cafeteria and in front of the main office this week to collect school supplies for Franklin Elementary students.  A general assortment of supplies is needed, such as paper, pencils, folders, crayons, glue, etc.  Sports Unlimited is a club by students, for students.  Help us replenish the supplies that were lost in Franklin’s fire this past weekend.

Tickets for the dance are on sale for $15 at the bookstore through today. The price goes up to $20 Thursday and Friday and $25 at the door Saturday night. The dance will be at the Figge Museum from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Please have your current ID when you go to purchase your ticket.

Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors interested in affordably studying abroad for one school year, or to participate in summer cultural exchanges in another country, are invited to attend an informational presentation for students and parents tonight at 6:30 pm in the school cafeteria.

Thanks to all who came out last night to watch the movie and have a great time!  A big thank you to the cheerleaders for beginning the night with a pep rally.  Over $400 and 300 pounds of food were raised for the Student Hunger Drive.

Latinos Unidos:  We will be meeting today in room J327 from 3:10-3:30.  You will have the opportunity to sign up for the Latino Youth Summit at the University of Iowa on October 18th.  If you are not able to attend, please see Ms. Salinas or Mr. Castro to get your permission slip.  The first 20 to get them turned in by Thursday will be guaranteed a spot.

Interact Club will be kicking off Homecoming week tonight with a movie at Browning Field.  Come and watch the movie Toy Story tonight at 7:00.  Gates will open at 6:30.  Admission is $2 or 4 cans of food.  You must show a current Moline High School ID.  All proceeds will go the Student Hunger Drive.  Plan to come out tonight, beginning at 6:30.  A pep rally will be held before the movie, and the movie will begin at 7:00.

The Moline Rotary Club Youth Exchange Program is offering the opportunity for a Moline High School student to be selected to receive a scholarship to attend high school in another country during the 2018-19 school year, or to participate in a summer cultural exchange with a student in another country during summer.  This is an extraordinary opportunity to enhance your education, expand your horizons, and broaden your experience.   Applications are being accepted with selection of candidates in October. Drama Club is today after school. We will form a Homecoming committee to plan the decorations. Also, congratulations to the students who will be representing Moline at the Illinois Theatre Festival. The list is posted on the Theatre Callboard by the library. If your name is on the list, please stay for Drama Club today to get more information. If your name is not on the list, you may still submit applications. You will be placed on the alternates list. See Mrs. Koski in J210 if you have questions.

Any student interested in joining the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is welcome to join us tomorrow morning at 7:30 am in D137.
