Art Club will be meeting tomorrow in room E114 at 3:15. See you there!
Spanish Club is having an organizational meeting this Thursday to plan for a party on Thursday, January 23rd.
All HOSA members: We are having a meeting today at 3:00 in J138. Please bring a friend.
Bible study will be meeting in J210 on Friday from 3:10-3:40, and we’ll be talking about words and how they affect others. Everyone is welcome to come.
It’s that time of year again. Authentic Voices Conference will be January 31st. Please see Mrs. Dexter in the Counseling Center for forms. Forms and money are due by Friday, January 17th.
Attention Key Club members, there will be a meeting after school on Thursday in room J208. Stop by and sign up for an event and hear about what is new for 2014.
Three scholarships are now available for graduating seniors through Trinity Hospital. Students must be pursuing a degree in math, sciences, or the medical field. Download the application off of the Counseling Website. The due date for these scholarships is February 4.
To quote Patches O’Houlihan, “If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!” Sign up for the Intramural Dodge Ball tournament at the bookstore which will be held Wednesday Jan 22 at 6:30 in the East Gym. There will be a prize for the championship team AND the team with the best uniform/costume!
The Intramural basketball championship game will be held at Wharton Field House on Wednesday, January 29th starting at 8:30.
Attention all Bass Team members and to all students interested in joining the MHS Bass Fishing Team. Practices begin next week. We will have a brief meeting Thursday morning before school at 7:50 or Thursday after school in B322 to distribute indoor practice schedules. See Coach Albrecht in B322 in advance if you have a conflict and cannot attend this important meeting or if you have other questions about the bass fishing team.
Congratulations to Jared Sountris for winning two gold medals at the Special Olympics ski competition yesterday. Jared will move on to the state competition in Galena, IL in early February. Congratulations again, Jared, and good luck at state!
Get your tickets now for the World Premiere of Captain Starhawk Saves the World! Tickets are available in the bookstore all this week and will also be sold at the door: $6.00 for students and $8.00 for adults. Come see this outer space adventure in the play written just for Moline High School Theater.
2014 Graduates: Please check your name on the diploma list outside the Registrar’s Office. This is how it will appear on your diploma. Make all changes with Mrs. Hastings. Changes made after January 27, 2014 will cost $5.00.
Attention juniors! Please report directly to the AUD for CCR today. You will be receiving scheduling information for next school year. Please sit with your FIRST semester CCR teacher and be seated as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation!
This is a reminder to all students who have made prior arrangements to take finals and have not yet taken them: You may take your final in the Library period 1 (if you do not have a period 1 class), during lunch, and after school until 4:00 P.M. You can take these finals through Thursday!
