There will be a meeting of the Gay Straight Alliance on Monday after school in E-311. Please try to attend & bring a friend.
Many colleges are now accepting nominations and applications for their pre-college programs for high school students. Many applications are due in April and most have fees associated with the program. You may access the current list of available programs from the counseling page of the school website or by visiting Mrs. Sanders in the counseling center.
Three new scholarships are being offered to graduating senior students from the Trinity Health Foundation. Complete descriptions and applications may be downloaded from the Counseling website:
1. The CVM Illinois Youth Mentoring Scholarship (due 4/8)
2. The Lynn Vermeer Youth Scholarship (due 4/1)
3. The Kenneth Moburg Scholarship (due 4/1)
Any swimmers from the boys or girls teams who have locks on their lockers in the swimming locker room must remove those locks before Spring Break or the locks will be cut off and the contents discarded. Also, if you have not turned in your warm-ups, you must do so before Spring Break or you will be billed.
A list of Social Studies department honors is posted outside room E219. Please check the list. Seniors who have received 7 A’s in Social Studies should be on the list. If you feel your name was left off in error, please check with your social studies teacher.
Attention, sophomores and juniors! Are you interested in helping transition our incoming freshmen to MHS? Link Crew applications will be available starting next Monday, March 18th. Current Link Leaders must re-apply with a bright green colored application and all new applicants need to fill out a bright blue colored form. Next week, you can stop by B107, the Counseling Center, B208, J222, or B316 to pick up an application. The deadline for returning applications is Friday, March 22nd.
All sophomores and juniors must check the list outside the clinic. If your name is on the list, you are required to show proof of receiving a Tdap vaccine by fall registration.
“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” has arrived!! Maybe you’ve seen the feature stories on KWQC-TV leading up to our show. Well, now we are finally here! This year’s musical theatre extravaganza will be presented tonight through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and also on Saturday afternoon at 2:00. Get the best seats in advance at the MHS Bookstore–only $6.00 for students! Over 100 of Moline’s finest, talented performers will dazzle you with music, dancing, and over the top costumes. Don’t miss out…..this show will be talked about for years to come. Tickets are also available at the door…come early because the last time this show was presented at MHS, we sold out!!
